Kyle Kuzma Potential Trade Destinations; Odds of Kuzma’s Next Team
Fact Checked by Jim Tomlin

Another miserable NBA season in the Nation’s Capital brings about the usual talk of trading assets amid such on-court apathy. The Washington Wizards (6-39) have the choice of dealing a handful of starters to help their long-term build.

Wizards forward Kyle Kuzma, who has averaged 14.3 points and 5.7 rebounds per game this year, is one possible trade piece. The NBA trade deadline is Feb. 6, so BetVirginia.com – where you’ll find the best Virginia sportsbook promo codes – analyzed the biggest needs and rumors swirling across the league. We then developed these hypothetical odds of the most likely trade candidates for Kyle Kuzma.

BetVirginia developed these odds as part of our Virginia sports betting coverage.

The Wizards hold the NBA’s worst record as of Jan. 28 (4.5 games worse than the Utah Jazz), but Washington still has a handful of enticing veteran players who could fetch decent returns in deals.

Kuzma, a veteran of 504 NBA games, played his best game of the season against the Suns over the weekend, scoring 30 points and pulling down 11 rebounds for Washington. That illustrates what the 29-year-old can do if he’s given the chance to play for a contender. But he’s averaging 14.3 points a game, on pace for his worst average since he came to D.C. in the 2021-22 season.

Where Does Kyle Kuzma Go Next?

Our top landing spot for Kuzma ahead of the league’s deadline is the Sacramento Kings at +800, which would equal an 11.1% probability if this prop were offered at Virginia sports betting apps. The Western Conference squad beat out the Miami Heat, Golden State Warriors and Dallas Mavericks, who all clock in at +900 to land Kuzma next if he is traded.

Throw in two longshot teams in the Los Angeles Lakers and Memphis Grizzlies at +1200 apiece and you have the current Kuzma odds board covered, as general manager Will Dawkins is likely to pull the trigger on a full-scale rebuild.

We also have +125 odds (a 44.4% chance) that Kuzma stays put or is traded to a team not on our board. But Washington Wizards playoff chances are gone this season and the franchise needs some young players.
